My mom made such a pretty bridesmaid! I remember playing dress up with this dress back when I was 8 years old. Unfortunately I don't have a full-length shot, but I remember the bottom being made of the same red metallic material as the shoulder "embellishment". The top was black velvet. And her arm candy is my dad.

Vintage Slips by Barbizon
This set of THREE
vintage slips are all made by the famous Barbizon manufacturer. According to The Vintage Fashion Guild:
“Barbizon
was established in 1933 as a maker of women’s rayon lingerie. They were unique
in that they also made the fabrics from which their garments were sewn. They
specialized in high-quality synthetic blends, which they gave romantic names
such as Satin de Lys and Angel Blendaire. Barbizon was sold to the VF
Corporation (Vanity Fair) in 1991.” (http://vintagefashionguild.org/label-resource/barbizon/)
The “Trafedda” fabric of
these slips was trademarked on 1954.
All slips are in very good
vintage condition. Measurements are
taken flat and are approximate.

Halston hat circa 1970
100% Wool Halston hat that my mom bought when she was in her twenties. I guess this will have to wait until the fall. Cute feather details!

Blonde mink
I snagged this 1960's wool coat in a thrift store while on a trip to Connecticut to visit with family. It's a dark rust color with a blonde mink portrait collar. The sleeves are three-quarter length and the buttons appear to be made of "bakelight" plastic, which was a popular material for bangles and buttons during the 50's and 60's. It's in excellent condition and is perfect for these cold-but-not-too-frigid winter days that we've been having!
